ScalaTest/Scalactic 2.2.0-RC1 released

Bill Venners-3
Hi All,

2.2.0-RC1 is the first release candidate for the next major version of ScalaTest and Scalactic (the new name for ScalaUtils). If you have time I'd appreciate if you could try it on your project. No existing code should break, but you'll likely need to do a clean build to upgrade from previous releases. Let us know on scalatest-users if you encounter any problems or have suggestions for improvement.

2.2.0 mostly consists of applying macros to get better error messages out of ScalaTest's assert and assume methods, including a DiagrammedAssertions trait that draws diagrams like Peter Niederwieser's Spock and Expecty. Scalactic's Requirements trait offers require, requireState, and requireNonNull to give better error messages when a precondition fails in production. Scalactic's Snapshots trait is handy for debug and log messages.

For a more detailed overview, check out the 2.2.0-RC1 release notes:

Thanks and enjoy!
