2.2.0-RC1 is the first release candidate for the next major version of ScalaTest
and Scalactic (the new name for ScalaUtils). If you have time I'd
appreciate if you could try it on your project. No existing code should
break, but you'll likely need to do a clean build to upgrade from
previous releases. Let us know on scalatest-users if you encounter any problems or have suggestions for improvement.
2.2.0 mostly consists of applying macros to get better error messages out of ScalaTest's
assert and assume methods, including a DiagrammedAssertions trait that
draws diagrams like Peter Niederwieser's Spock and Expecty. Scalactic's
Requirements trait offers require, requireState, and requireNonNull to
give better error messages when a precondition fails in production.
Scalactic's Snapshots trait is handy for debug and log messages.
