Scala community builds

Grzegorz Kossakowski-4
Hi!

Scala organization on GitHub got a new project added to it: community-builds.

The idea behind community builds is to define a set of core Scala open source projects that we can build together easily. We use community builds definition to validate that all those projects are compatible with each other and that latest Scala compiler release doesn't break them. We're covering at the moment over 1.2 million lines of Scala code spread over 77 projects!

Community builds was originally developed at Typesafe. Now that it stabilized, we would like to open it to greater Scala community hence the move to Scala organization on GitHub.

There will be bigger announcement coming out from us soon. Meanwhile, feel free to poke around community-builds repo.

Questions and feedback welcome!

Does that mean that anyone can add their project?

Hi Jerzy!

One brief sentence in the README suggests that the preferred way awaits to be discovered by brave pioneers :)

What project do you have in mind?
